Walt Disney world covers over 120 sq km - bigger than the City of Manchester. Magic Kingdom has 7 'lands' with a 180ft castle at its centre.  Legoland Florida. Covering 150 acres this will be at Winter Haven, 45 minutes southwest of the Orlando theme parks.It will  feature more than 50 rides, shows and attractions in tropical landscapes.This interactive theme park is aimed at 2 to 12 year olds. Life size models include a snoring grandpa, a shark's head and Merlin the Wizard within the castle. In May 2012 there is the planned launch  of the Legoland Water Park where families can build their own lego raft and then test it out on a lazy river.

Aquatica - SeaWorld's new 59 acre water park with rides, slides and dolphins. There are 36 slides and tube rides including the signature attraction - Dolphin Plunge, two bowl flumes, racing slides, lazy rivers, rapids and one of the world's largest interactive water play areas. All this plus relax on large sandy beaches - opened March 2008.
SeaWorld's newest ride is Manta which simulates 'flying' face down like a ray.
In 2011 there is a new Shamu show with coloured lighting and soaring fountains.
In 2012 Turtle Trek - a 3D look at turtle life in a 360degree domed theatre will open in Spring

June 2011 - a new expansion will open. A tropical underwater universe - The Grand Reef - will combine colourful up-close encounters featuring multiple levels of exploration covering 2.5 acres from paddling in shallow water to deep diving adventures.SeaVenture is an underwater walking tour across the lagoon floor whilst weaaring special dive helmets.
Spring 2012 - Freshwater Oasis invites guests to move around freshwater trails, encountering playful otters and marmosets.

A new ride - Cheetah Hunt - will open spring 2011. According to latest information, the new high-speed ride is a 3 1/2 minute sprint over 3/4 of a mile taking the rider through African-inspired landscapes at up to 60 miles per hour before finally plunging 37 metres into an abyss.The 4,429ft sprint accelerates from 0 - 60mph in 3 seconds.

Disney has cut back on Fantasmic shows to 2 per week. The Star Wars ride closed September 2010 for refurbishment and is now a Star Wars II 3-D Adventure ( including a visit to the annual pod race and simuloates speeds of 500mph.

Spaceship Earth has been refurbished and now has a series of new hands-on games. The Sea With Nemo and Friends is a perfect family attraction.

September 2010 - Its a Small World closed for refurbishment. Spring 2012 an expanded Fantasyland will open -Storybook Circus will include Dumbo the Flying Elephant and also the Great Goofini childrens coaster. Later in the year there will be a Little Mermaid ride and also a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant opening.
A Snow White coaster is planned to open in 2013.

Finding Nemo The Musical - is a stage spectacular. The latest wildlife thrills take the form of a 3 hour expert led Wild Africa Trek encountering African wildlife.
